November 2017 saw our relaunch as a club. Taking place at the Sports Bar and Grill in Victoria train station, London, the evening was attended by guests from all over the Pacific including Tonga, Samoa, Fiji and Papua New Guinea.
Special guests for the evening included the current High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea, Her Excellency Ms Winnie A Kiap, and the CEO of Big Yellow Self Storage Company, Mr. James Gibson.
Our club captain was joined by Jerry Raloka and Napoleon 'Naps' Koro who modelled the new kit, which was donated to the club by former Fiji Bati Rugby League player and also former PIRC player from the early beginnings of the club, Freddie Russell Joseph. Designed in consultation with the committee, the shirt drew inspiration from the logo designed by Peni Kamakorewa a Fijian based in New Zealand whose design incorporated the game of rugby and it's uniting of the Pacific together as one.
Throughout the year we have many events and games we will be involved in, this year is no different. So plenty of opportunity for us to exhibit the style of rugby the world has come to expect from us, feel free to support and cheer our sides on.
